Tradishion

Privacy Policy

Your family’s recipes and memories are yours. Here’s how we keep them safe. Last updated: July 14, 2026.

What we collect

Account information: your name, email address, and an optional profile photo.

The content you add: recipes, photos, stories, notes, comments, voice recordings, and the families you create or join.

Technical basics:we use cookies only to keep you signed in, and our hosting providers keep standard server logs (like IP address and request time) to run the service securely. We don’t use advertising trackers.

Payments:when subscriptions launch, they’re billed through the App Store or Google Play. We never see or store your card number.

How we use it

Only to run Tradishion: signing you in, showing your recipes to the right families, sending you essential emails (like confirming your address or resetting a password), and keeping the service safe. We do not sell your data, we do not show ads, and we don’t use your content to train AI models.

Your data is private

Recipes are private to the families you belong to, and that’s enforced in the database itself, so only members of a family can see that family’s recipes, stories, and photos. Nothing you add is public unless you intentionally share it with your community.

Voice recordings

Voice memories are special, because they’re recordings of real people. They’re stored privately with the recipe, visible only to the family it belongs to. Please record people with their knowledge and blessing.

Who helps us run Tradishion

A small number of trusted providers process data on our behalf, only as needed to run the app:

Supabase runs our database, file storage, and sign-in. Vercel hosts the app. Resend delivers our emails (like confirmation links). When payments launch, Apple, Google, and RevenueCat will handle subscriptions. These providers may process data in other countries, under their own security and privacy commitments.

How long we keep it

For as long as you keep your account. When you delete your account, your personal information and the content you own are removed, and they leave our encrypted backups within 30 days. Recipes you’ve already passed on as copies to other families remain with those families, since that’s the point of passing them on.

Your rights

Wherever you live, including under Canada’s PIPEDA, Europe’s GDPR, and California’s CCPA, you can: see the data we hold about you, correct it, export it, or deleteit. You can delete your account yourself in Account Settings, and you can email us for anything else. We’ll never treat you differently for exercising your rights.

Security

Your data is encrypted in transit, protected by row-level security in the database, and backed up daily. No internet service can promise perfection, but protecting family memories is the entire reason Tradishion exists, so we treat security accordingly.

Children

Tradishion is for ages 13 and up (or older where local law requires). We don’t knowingly collect data from younger children. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we’ll remove it.

Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes, we’ll note them in the app before they take effect. The date at the top always tells you when this policy was last updated.
